Objective
The main purpose of the community service for young sex offenders, is to give criminal boys insight into their deviant sexual behaviour. An educational programme that not only focuses on the transfer of knowledge, but also on changing attitudes and improving skills, makes it possible to steer deviant behaviour in a positive direction. Community services challenge young people in a positive way to change their behaviour and opinions. Actually, learning from their mistakes reduces the chance that they will slip up again. The programme helps them to avoid future criminal behaviour.
