Youth Advisory Group
The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is an initiative launched by Rutgers Nisso Groep’s international programme Youth Incentives with the aim to promote and increase youth involvement in the organization.
The YAG members come from multiple countries in the world, currently Tanzania, Bangladesh, Russia and El Salvador. YAG members are all young people active in the field of sexual and reproductive health and member of a youth organisation or a youth network in their country.
The YAG forms an invaluable partner for Youth Incentives, offering input, ideas and advice on policies, projects, programmes and materials. The young people that make up the YAG participate in discussions and provide feedback by email and through an annual meeting in the Netherlands.
Youth Incentives and the YAG have a reciprocal relationship. Youth Incentives benefits from the knowledge and experiences of the YAG members. At the same time, Youth Incentives strives to ensure that the young people themselves gain from their participation through sharing ideas with one another and the Youth Incentives staff, building an international network and gaining new personal and professional skills.
